Youth
Moving from childhood to adulthood can be an upheaval! But God uses times of change to bring great growth.
Student Ministries at Crossroads or SMAC is designed to connect students to Jesus, one another, and to the world.
Regular programming for teens and preteens includes:
Grounded
Grounded is our Sunday morning worship service for today’s youth. It features contemporary music and Biblical teaching that is relevant for the struggles and spiritual growth of teens and preteens. Students are welcome to come early and hang out in the coffee shop before the service at 11 a.m.
PODS
Much like adult Small Groups, PODS, are an opportunity for students to dig deeper into God’s word and make meaningful connections with others and Christ. Students are divided into groups based on their age and gender. Each POD, or group, is then led by a youth coach or coaches of the same gender. PODS meet at 7 p.m. every Wednesday throughout the school year with the first Wednesday of every month set aside for a special worship service, service-oriented event or just random fun. Open gym at 6:30 p.m. Friends welcome!
Other Connecting Points for Teens
Throughout the year, students also have the opportunity to attend a variety of Christian conferences, events and camps. SMAC also organizes service projects for teens and preteens. Projects range from raking yards in the community to helping out at a food pantry and serving the homeless.
