Ministry Teams

Just as Christ came to serve and not to be served, we too should be involved in helping others. Connect with others at Crossroads by serving alongside them in one of our ministry teams.

  • Building Team
Crossroads Building Team works to maintain and enhance the appearance and function of our building to promote effective ministry. The team does odd and end jobs around the church such as repairing/painting walls, fixing floors, cabinets, fixtures etc. and overseeing the general maintenance of the building.
  • Children’s Team
There are several ways to serve on the Children’s Team. You can teach class, serve refreshments, welcome and check in visitors, or help decorate the “stage” for various themes.
  • Communications Team
The Communications Team at Crossroads ensures materials and communications distributed by the church or Ministry Teams within the church are consistent and reflect a professional and positive image. Ways to serve on this team include designing images for various events, photographing events and writing for the monthly newsletter.
  • Drama Team
Help bring the message home…and make people laugh while you’re at it. Join the Drama Team and help show the relevance of God’s word in today’s world.
  • Fellowship Team
Help connect people at Crossroads. Crossroads Fellowship Team helps promote friendship-building within the church through serving donuts and coffee on Sunday mornings, organizing potlucks, picnics and the annual ice cream social. Team members also help purchase items for various events, prepare menus and well, yes, clean up the kitchen after it’s all done!
  • Follow Up Team
Get others plugged in at Crossroads. The Follow Up Team follows up with first-time visitors with information about the church and upcoming events. The team also follows up with those we miss seeing over a period of time.
  • Grounds Team
If you have a green thumb the Grounds Team might be for you. The purpose of the Grounds Team is to maintain and enhance the exterior areas of Crossroads’ property. The team plants and maintains flower beds on the property and performs necessary chores such as painting, caulking, or repair work on outdoor structures. It may also occasionally involve a construction project for those interested.
  • Helping Hands Team
Ever wonder who folds all those bulletins each Sunday? Crossroads Helping Hands team assists in collating, assembling and dispersing mass communications within the church including the monthly newsletter, Small Group booklets and Ministry Team booklets.
  • Media Team
Crossroads media team is in charge of recording and duplicating Sunday’s message and making it available on cassette tape or CD.
  • Music Team
Are you a talented instrumentalist or vocalist who has a desire to glorify God through your musical gift(s)? Crossroads’ Music Team consists of One Voice, an ensemble group that provides contemporary special music, and the Sunday morning worship team, which consists of instrumentalist and vocalist.
  • Nursery Team
The nursery team not only provides a loving, safe environment for newborns and children up to three years but also provides parents the opportunity to worship and grow in Christ. All nursery volunteers must undergo a background screening.
  • Outreach Team
Crossroads Outreach Team is charged with getting the word out about God’s word and the opportunities at Crossroads. The means of getting the word out varies from door hangers and advertisements to fun events for the community.
  • Pastoral Care Team
The Pastoral Care Team at Crossroads provides personal Christian care.. There are several avenues to serve on this team as it encompasses Celebrate Recovery, the Stephen Minister program as well as the prayer team.
  • Service Team
Crossroads Service Team works to provide for the physical needs of God’s people. Whether it be providing a warm meal to an individual or family after or helping people with projects around their home, the service team is there to meet the needs of the congregation and create a sense community within the church family.
  • Set Up Team
The Set Up team does just that. It sets out chairs and needed equipment for special events and Sunday morning services.
  • Small Groups Team
Church is more than just a Sunday morning thing and Small Groups are vital in growing your relationship with Christ throughout the week. Join the Small Groups team and lead a group of individuals in Bible study.
  • Sound Team
Crossroads Sound Team is responsible for making sure you hear the message each Sunday. The team sets up and tests the sound equipment, plays background music etc. The system is easy to use and we’ll make sure you understand how it all works.
  • Student Team
Paul’s challenge to Timothy was, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.”  This is not a statement of defiance.  This is a statement of direction.  The goal and hope of Student Ministry at Crossroads is to direct and equip teens to set an example that others, no matter what age, will respect. Serve as a youth coach and help guide teens and preteens.
  • Welcome Team
A warm, friendly hello can go a long way. Join the Welcome Team and meet and greet others. Make them feel at home and help them find their way around.
  • Women’s Team
Every woman yearns for friends who will walk with her through life’s joys and sorrows. Crossroads women’s team organizes Bible studies and fellowship events and retreats to help you develop deeper relationships with Jesus Christ and other women.
